In this specially designed seminar, ADADC takes its students for a glimpse into West African culture. In a rare opportunity for them to connect with and understand the elements of this ancient culture. Steeped in a rich tradition of drumming and dancing, the instruments, dances and music, students will be able to see and hear an acient culture that have been passed down through generations and are still a central part of life in Senegal, Director and Drum Master Makha Diop’s home country. Lead by the drum master himself, the seminar will include performances by African drummers and dancers, demonstrations and explanations of various traditional instruments, a presentation on African culture and traditions and interactive games that teach students basic dance steps and/or basic rhythms. Seminars run between one hour and 90 minutes and can be tailored to suit individual needs.
