ADADC can offer long term drum courses for students. Over a semester, students will have weekly classes where they learn traditional West African rhythms and techniques on a variety of traditional drums and instruments. Students will learn through group drumming – the traditional teaching method for this ancient art.

 

By the end of the course students will know a variety of basic rhythms and understand how these rhythms interact and are used by drummers to create a collaborative rhythm. This knowledge will help
broaden their understanding of rhythm and music in general.
